Kayaking

Orkney offers some of the best sea kayaking in Scotland.  We have beautiful shoreline, fantastic opportunities for island hopping and strong tidal streams. Get close to diverse marine life, including  seals and dolphins, as you explore hidden gems and caves along the shore.  Or come with us on an exhilarating trip in more advanced conditions.

Whether you are a complete beginner or experienced kayaker, looking for coaching to develop your skills, our qualified leaders and coaches will create a kayaking adventure tailored just for you!

  • BCAC Sea Kayak Coach

Sarah is a native Flemish speaker she is fluent in both English and Dutch.  Her qualifications are:

  • STGA Green Badge Tourist Guide

  • Mountain Training Lowland Leader

  • Paddle UK accredited Sea Kayak Leader

  • Paddle UK Level 3 Sheltered Water Coach

  • Mountain Training Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI)

  • BA Hons Scottish Culture Studies degree

We are proud to be Wild Scotland members.  As a WDCShorewatch volunteer, if you ever see Sarah standing with binoculars to the eyes on the shore, it's likely she is scanning for cetaceans.  Come over and have a chat!  We are also a member of the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland scheme and support breastfeeding on our tours.
